There are two integration types, the staff sharepoint being easier to use and the student sharepoint a more niche feature. Both work differently and have different purposes. The end result for the staff sharepoint feature is to save class PDFs into folders for each Staff ID. For the student feature it saves student PDFs into a folder for each student. Both features are intended for use by staff and are not meant to be shared with students or parents.
Staff Sharepoint setup instructions
Option A: (provided by a school) To configure the Staff Sharepoint integration using Microsoft Teams the steps are as follows
1. Create a channel in the staff team – which creates a Document Library in the corresponding Sharepoint
2. In Sharepoint click the ‘Sync’ button. This then shows as a folder in OneDrive
3. Hold down shift, and right click on that new folder in OneDrive, then choose “Copy as Path”
4. Paste this path into the sharepoint setup location on the settings page as pictured
5. Once this folder is in place you can use it to save data into folders for each staff member using the ‘PDF Bundling > Staff Sharepoint’ options on the Profile, List, Datawall, ProgressTracker and ClassMat pages. The data should sync to the teams sharepoint
Option B: This method creates the folder first then configures it for syncing with sharepoint.
1. Create a folder on your PC to save staff sharepoint data into
2. Hold down shift, and right click on that new folder, then choose “Copy as Path”
3. Paste this path into the sharepoint setup location on the settings page as pictured
4. Once this folder is in place you can use it to save data into folders for each staff member using the ‘PDF Bundling > Staff Sharepoint’ options on the Profile, List, Datawall, ProgressTracker and ClassMat pages. Used like this it won’t automatically sync to sharepoint but will create folders for each staff and save class PDFs in them. You can then proceed to step 5 as an optional step
